My daughter will be turning 6 soon and we are trying to decide what type of party to have. Last year she had clowns with face painting and a magic show at the park. I have asked her about some of the normal ones...bowling, snip it's, pump it up...but she was not too excited. Any ideas would be helpful especially if you have heard of something new. Thanks :D

I just gave my daughter a Summer Tea Party this past weekend(it was not for her birthday-she is a MAY baby) But she was missing her school friends and I thought it would be fun for the girls to get together--mind you I did make this party for girls only, but when my daughter was turning 4, I did a prince/princess dress up party and all the boys and girls had a blast. It was simple and I did not have alot of work to do. But it turned out great everyone loved it. All the girls were allowed to use real china tea cups and teapots that I had collected over the years (you could get cheap sets at a thrift stores. No the sets did not match, and that made it so much easier for the girls to claim their own spot/seat. It was great. Hope this helps. But if you would like to know how I made the invitations (used scrapbooking scraps)or any other details, just PM me.

My daughter has had two birthday parties at the Brevard Zoo, when she turned 5 and 6. The last one was almost four years ago, but at that time, the party included pizza and drinks, a gift (stuffed animal) for the birthday child and, the highlight, a zookeeper taking out animals (that are kept inside a classroom building) for the kids to see and touch, including a snake and chinchilla. After the party, all the birthday party kids could go into the zoo free and take a free train ride.

Let's Play Dress-Up Inc in Melbourne has costumes for dress up and a tea room for tea parties. They also have a work shop to stuff your own collectible animal. I went to a party there and the kids had fun making their own animal....but I think it might be expensive. You could look into renting a water slide with it as hot as it is. I have seen them set up at parks for parties and it looks like a good way to stay cool and have fun or the set them up at your house as well. Just some ideas. Hope you all have fun whatever you decide.

I just remembered another party that I did not actually attend but someone I know had a party at the Palm Bay Aquatic center. I don't know what it includes but that sounds like fun getting a group together there. You could call and see what they provide and maybe do pizza? Just another thought.

When I was younger I attending a party for my cousin and we came dressed up as our moms, or wearing our moms outfits and we had a tea party, social kind of thing. We had gift bags and did girly stuff like a ladies day out but kid fashion. It was fun and after all this time, lets say 20 years I still remember it. :)

Now why in the hell would you want a b-day party at snipits? You could take her to a theme park for her b-day and not have a party if she isn't all that interested.

The rock climbing place in W. Melbourne is fun and different for parties. My daughter went to one there and loved it.I agree with an earlier poster that PD Penguins was great for parties, but I think they closed down a couple of months ago.

The girls dress up and walk down a red carpet as the parents and customers watch and take pictures. The parties I've been there for were great and the girls had a lot of fun. It doesn't take a lot of effort on the parents part and you don't have to spend the evening cleaning up afterwards. I think it's a great idea.
